Accumulator

The accumulator is used to store energy and standardize the output of the pressurized fluid in a hydraulic system. A hydraulic system with the help of an accumulator can operate with a smaller pump, and this is due to the energy storage to the system at low load times. This energy can be used instantly and expelled, which the hydraulic pump is practically unable to do.

The image below shows a cross-section of two common examples of piston and blade accumulators or diaphragms. The accumulator is also used for shock in the hydraulic system and the smooth and uniform operation of the components and cylinders.

Blade accumulators are the most common type used in hydraulic systems. The blade is filled with energy and installed in a steel tank. The blade is usually made of rubber material suitable for the desired pressure.

In diaphragm models, a separating element and a diaphragm are installed from a spherical tank. In practice, diaphragm models can be made in dimensions larger than Blader.

In piston accumulators, a piston is used as a separating element. In this model, a higher gas pressure ratio can be used.
