Positioner
For a gradual, fast and accurate control, the control valve must respond quickly to changes in the control signal. In practice, due to the multiplicity of control loops and the large distance of the control room from the valve, we will need a device called a positioner to apply fast and accurate control. Depending on the different mechanisms, this equipment uses mechanical, pneumatic or electrical samples, and in addition to increasing the speed of transmitting the pneumatic pulse by 3 to 15 psi, it also causes the control valve with the feedback it receives from the valve position.
